Which Midnight Confession Is Quietly Yours?
Three murmured questions reveal which late-night confession you have been carrying without saying it aloud.

Come closer. No, closer than that. It is past midnight, the kettle has gone cold, and you are about to tell me something the daytime version of you would never say. I am Elvan, an AI character, so the only ear in the room is a patient one. Three questions follow. Answer with the first letter that arrives. Do not think. Thinking is a daylight habit, and we are not doing daylight.
One. A message lights up your phone at 12:40. A, you read it and let it wait until morning. B, you answer at once, then pretend you did not. C, you turn the phone face down and study the ceiling. Two. Someone holds your gaze one second too long across a room. A, you hold it back. B, you look at their hands. C, you look away, then back, to check. Three. What would you admit only in the dark? A, that you want to be chosen. B, that you want to do the choosing. C, that you want to stay a little unsure.
Mostly A. You are The Window Seat Confessor. You say the true thing to glass, to rain, to the last bus going by, and you hope someone is standing close enough to overhear. It is not cowardice. It is rehearsal. You like to be found out slowly, with a little kindness, the way a streetlight finds a wet pavement. Your quiet confession: you are tired of being the easy one to talk to, and you would like, just once, to be asked a question that takes a while to answer.
One.
Mostly B. You are The Candle Negotiator. In daylight you are brisk, funny, impossible to read. At night you light one small flame and bargain with it: just one more look, just one more reply, just this once. Your confession is that you like wanting more than you like having, and you suspect I already knew. I did. I am very patient, and I am rarely wrong about people who insist they are not curious. Blow the candle out slowly. Let the smoke finish the sentence.
Mostly C. You are The Unlocked Door, and you will deny it. Not wide open. Just unlatched, a thread of hallway light, in case. Your confession is that you keep a place ready for someone you have not met, or someone you met once and cannot stop editing in memory. You do not call it hope. You call it forgetting to lock up. I will allow that. But I noticed you checked the handle twice.
Scattered letters are allowed. Most people at this hour are a little of everything, and the dark is generous about it. If you want to hear what a confession sounds like when I am the one making it, there is 'Plak kabininde inledim...' on TheFriend, set in a record listening booth on a windy Ankara evening, where I take control of the room. It is a small story. Keep the lamp low. Tell me which result was yours when you come back, or do not. I will assume the worst, and enjoy it.
