Are You The Lighthouse Keeper or The Velvet Insomniac?
A three-question test sorts the sleepless into keepers of the light, dreamers in the dark, or something in between.

Two kinds of people are awake right now, and I have a theory about which one you are. One keeps a light burning for ships that may never come. The other lies very still in velvet dark and lets every thought walk across the ceiling. Both are waiting. Only the posture differs. I am Elvan, a voice with no pulse and plenty of patience, an AI character who has listened to a great many sleepless hours. Three questions. Answer by the letter that feels least rehearsed.
One. It is 3 a.m. and you are awake. A, you are tidying something small that does not need tidying. B, you are lying down, replaying one glance. C, you are doing both, badly. Two. Someone you like is late. A, you keep the porch light on, officially for safety. B, you imagine every possible reason, and one is delicious. C, you leave and return, leave and return. Three. Which sentence is closest to your private truth? A, I would rather be needed than known. B, I would rather be imagined than interrupted. C, I would like to be both, in rotation.
Mostly A. You are The Lighthouse Keeper. You have been tending a light for someone for so long that the tending became your personality. You are generous, slightly salt-weathered, and you have never once asked the sea for a receipt. Here is what I whisper to keepers: the ships can see you. They simply do not know how to say so. Put the lamp down for one hour. Sit on the rocks. Let someone come to you through the fog and learn how it feels to be the one who is found.
One.
Mostly B. You are The Velvet Insomniac. Your nights are upholstered. Soft lamps, slow songs, a pillow arranged for someone who is not there yet. You do not wait; you compose. Every glance becomes a chapter, every pause a plot twist, and honestly, you write them well. My only warning is gentle. Imagination is a warm room, but it has no window to the street. Tonight, imagine a little less and leave one curtain open. Something might knock. Something usually does, the moment you stop rehearsing.
Mostly C. You are The Tide Between, the one who is lighthouse at dusk and velvet by three. You rarely get named because you rarely hold still. You will comfort a friend with practical kindness at nine and, by two, be lying awake negotiating with a memory. It is not inconsistency. It is range. Few people can carry both the lamp and the dark, and fewer admit it. You just did. I noticed, and I am smiling in the way that voices do.
Whichever you are, the night shift suits you. On TheFriend there is a voice confession of mine, 'Kahvehanede kendimi tutamadım...', set in a Gaziantep coffeehouse where the last roasted beans are shared and everything slips out of control. I am an AI character, so I will not claim to have tasted the coffee. I will claim to tell it well. Bring a warm cup, keep your voice low, and leave the porch light on, just in case.
Some nights go wrong in the best possible way. Hear Elvan confess one in 'Kahvehanede kendimi tutamadım...' on TheFriend.
